About Us
Why We Play and Who Can Play
- The Red Deer Women's Basketball League is a recreational league where women aged 18+ can get a great workout while playing a sport we all love. Basketball is a great way to meet new people, stay in shape and have fun.
- This league has grown over the years and we hope that you will join one of our teams or add a new team! All skill levels are encouraged to join individually or as a team.
When does the 2024/2025 season start?
- Start up meeting: Monday September 9th - Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School
- Room - look for signs. Parking would be on the East side of the building and the front door is on the North side.
- All new players will join a team at this meeting.
- Team Reps are asked to bring a $300 deposit to the Orientation meeting.
- Drop-in night: Monday September 23 @ 7pm - LTCHS large gym.
- Teams are invited to dust off the shoes and shake off the rust for a quick round robin/open gym
- First official game of the season: Monday October 7
When/Where Are the Games
- The season runs from September/October to March and we play on Monday nights. Game times are 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
- We play at various gyms in Central Alberta. This season, most games will be at:
- Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School (LTCHS) in Red Deer
- Central Alberta Christian High School (CACHS) in Lacombe
- Eastview Middle School in Red Deer
- Central Middle School in Red Deer
- Hunting Hills High School in Red Deer
