About Us

The Red Deer Women's Basketball League is a recreational league where women aged 18+ can get a great workout while playing a sport we all love. Basketball is a great way to meet new people, stay in shape and have fun.
This league has grown over the years and we hope that you will join one of our teams or add a new team! All skill levels are encouraged to join individually or as a team.

Start up meeting: Thursday September 3rd @ 7pm - Red Deer - Lindsay Thruber Composite High School (see LTCHS under facilities for directions)
- Room - look for signs or join the FB page for info. Parking would be in front of the school
- All new players will join a team at this meeting.
- Team Rep/captains are asked to bring a $300 deposit to the Orientation meeting.
Drop-in night: September 21st - LTCHS large gym.
- Teams are invited to dust off the shoes and shake off the rust for a quick round robin/open gym
First official game of the season: September 28th

The season runs from end of September to March/beginning of April (dependant on number of teams) and we play on Monday nights. Game times are 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
We play at various gyms in Central Alberta. This season, most games will be at:
- Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School (LTCHS) in Red Deer
- Eastview Middle School in Red Deer
- Central Middle School in Red Deer
- Hunting Hills High School in Red Deer
